MY BEST FRIEND

Nga and I are neighbors¹. Nga lives in the red house. I live in the white house.  

 Hello, Nga!     Hello, Ba! 

Nga and I go to the same school. Every morning we take the school bus together. 

  I have candies.  I have cookies. We share. 

After school, we play on the beach near our houses. We build sandcastles. 

My castle is the biggest in the world. 

 My castle is the prettiest in the world. 

On Saturday, we go to the movies.  

 This movie was funny. I want to watch it again. 

 Me too. Let’s watch it again next Saturday. 

Sometimes when my mom and dad come home late, Nga invites me to her house and we have dinner. 

  My ham sandwich is so splendid²! It has some hams, cheese, and lettuce³. 

 Me too. I have a steak with chips, and also a special salad with tomato, lettuce, and tuna⁴. It is very delicious! 

One day, I didn’t see Nga on the school bus. I didn’t see her at school. And I didn’t see her at the beach.  

- "Where is Nga? I miss her.” 

Nga was sick. I gave her some cookies and a get-well card.  

“Nga. Please get well soon”.
